TNT's Dallas Ready to Heat Up Winter with New Round of
Passion, Feuds, Double-Crosses and Shady Alliances

#1 New Drama with Key Demos Returns Monday, Jan. 28

TNT is going to usher in the New Year with a whole new wave of back-stabbing, plot-scheming, blackmailing fun as the hit drama series Dallas returns for its second season.

The Warner Horizon Television–produced drama burst onto the scene this past summer, averaging 6.1 million viewers which ranks as basic cable’s #1 new drama with key adult demos for the year-to-date. The 15-episode second season is set to launch Monday, Jan. 28, with back-to-back episodes beginning at 9 p.m. (ET/

TNT's Dallas centers on the Ewing clan, an enormously wealthy Texas family whose sibling rivalries, romantic betrayals, corruption and even murder are truly legendary. The exciting drama brings back three iconic stars from the original Dallas: Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing, Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing and Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing.

They are joined by the next generation of Ewings, who take ambition and deception to a new level. Josh Henderson is John Ross, the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing, while Jesse Metcalfe is Christopher, Bobby’s adopted son. Jordana Brewster also stars as Elena Ramos, John Ross’ girlfriend and Christopher's former fiancée, while Julie Gonzalo is Rebecca Sutter, Christopher’s wife. Brenda Strong stars as Bobby’s wife, Ann.

This season three new series regulars will join the cast. Mitch Pileggi, who guest-starred in the first season, plays Harris Ryland, Ann’s manipulative and cunning ex-husband. Emma Bell is Emma Brown, a sheltered beauty whose father has taught her to distrust the world around her. And Kuno Becker is Drew Ramos, Elena’s troubled brother who returns to Southfork to continue drilling on his father’s land.

Shot on location in the title city, Dallas comes to TNT from Warner Horizon Television, with writer Cynthia Cidre and Michael M. Robin serving as executive producers. TNT’s Dallas is based upon the series created by David Jacobs.

Season 1 Recap (spoiler alert)

During the first season of TNT's Dallas, the decades-long rivalry between J.R. and Bobby flared up again when John Ross began working on a scheme to drill oil on the Ewings' Southfork ranch. Bobby, determined to honor his late mother's wishes, refused to allow for the drilling. But Bobby's health problems, including a form of stomach cancer, forced him to consider selling the family's property to a conservancy. Unfortunately, Bobby was unaware that the entire deal was a ruse by J.R., who recently
emerged after a stint in an assisted-living facility and who is now more determined than ever to take control of Southfork.

Meanwhile, Christopher had recently returned to Dallas with wife-to-be Rebecca Sutter, causing some awkward moments with his former fiancée, Elena Ramos, the daughter of Southfork's housekeeper. Christopher and Rebecca's marriage faced early problems when Christopher discovered Rebecca was partially responsible for his untimely breakup with Elena, and he later uncovered evidence that Rebecca was collaborating with Tommy Sutter (Callard Harris), a man posing to be her brother in order to rip off the Ewing family. Rebecca wound up shooting and killing Tommy when he threatened to harm her unborn twins.

John Ross, meanwhile, found his own world crashing down when his girlfriend, Elena, discovered his attempts to take Southfork from Bobby and Christopher. John Ross was later framed for murdering a
woman claiming to be Marta Del Sol (Leonor Varela), with whom he'd been in collusion. Sue Ellen and Ann each made deals with Ann's scheming ex-husband, Harris Ryland, in order to make the family's legal problems go away. The timing was particularly bad for Sue Ellen, who is running for governor of Texas, and especially troubling for Ann, who holds a painful memory about a daughter she and Ryland may have had together.

In the end, Ann managed to get Ryland on tape trying to blackmail her. Bobby's medical problems began to escalate. Elena went running into Christopher's arms after realizing John Ross is just as deceptive, scheming and power-hungry as his father. And Rebecca, dumped by Christopher when he learned she was lying about being related to Tommy, went to meet her father – longtime Ewing enemy and Bobby's one-time father-in-law, Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval).

Season 2 Preview

In the second season of Dallas, Sue Ellen's run for governor will be threatened by the secret that she bribed a medical examiner to help get John Ross off the hook for murder. Ryland will come to Ann claiming to have news about her daughter. Christopher will head to Des Moines to find the real Becky Sutter, while the woman he married will start to show her true colors as Cliff Barnes' daughter. J.R. will team up with John Ross to take over Sue Ellen's loan to Elena, giving her total control over Christopher
and John Ross' new startup company, Ewing Energies. And that's in just the first episode…
