TNT's Perception Returns Tuesday February 25, 2014 10PM

[TNT Press Release]
Peter Coyote (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial) is set to be a guest-star on the upcoming season of TNT’s Perception, starring Emmy® and Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Eric McCormack. In addition his role as the lead government scientist in the blockbuster E.T., Coyote is known for his performances in such films as Cross Creek and A Walk to Remember, as well as the series Brothers & Sisters, Commander in Chief, The 4400 and Law & Order: L.A. Coyote is also an author, director, screenwriter and narrator. His voice work includes narrating the opening ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics.

In Perception, Coyote will play James Alan Pierce, the father of Daniel Pierce (McCormack). He comes to visit his son in order to give him some surprising news. Their relationship, however, is filled with past resentments, and Pierce is less than thrilled about the visit.

Perception, which comes to TNT from ABC Studios, stars Eric McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscientist and university professor with a unique way of seeing the world. Pierce is called upon by his former student – FBI agent Kate Moretti, played by Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That) – to help the federal government solve complex criminal cases.

Perception, which also stars Arjay Smith (The Day After Tomorrow), LeVar Burton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Kelly Rowan (The O.C.) and Scott Wolf (Party of Five), **will finish out it's second season with episodes 11 and 12 in February and March of 2014. It will kick off its third season this summer.

**As of this posting of TNT's press release, there appears to be, you should pardon the expression, a misPerception, as to whether the episode which will air on Tuesday 2~25~2014 is the 11th or 12th episode of the 2nd season. TNT's and TVGuide's schedules list the episode which airs that night as "Curveball". IMDB lists the title of the episode that airs on the 25th and as the 11th episode of the 2nd season as "Obsession". If and when a clarification or consensus becomes available, InALather will give a heads-up.
