Futurama Returns For Premiere Of Season 6 Episode 1 "Rebirth" On Comedy Central June 24 2010 @ 10:00pm

Futurama Returns For Premiere Of Season 6 Episode 1 "Rebirth" On Comedy Central June 24 2010 @ 10:00pm

Yea! Futurama is back. That's right 'meat-bags' after years of dreaming of the return of the Matt Groening, David X. Cohen animated sci-fi hit, Comedy Central will be making your dreams come true. Since 2008 there have been re-runs of the series' original 72 eps. That coupled with DVD releases, has whet fans appetites for new adventures for the Planet Express crew. Now those cravings will be satisfied. In case you missed the re-runs, and you need to refresh your memory about what occurred in the previous seasons, Comedy Central has kindly provided a Futurama 5 seasons in 7mins recap video.

i thought i'd be done with the 'just what season which episode # is it' when FX' Nip/Tuck concluded it's run, but that conundrum has popped up again with Comedy Central's new season of Futurama. Some sources site the new season as # 6, others as season # 7. To further convolute matters, Comedy Central purchased 12 episodes, but contractually can only air 7 episodes for the upcoming season. The remaining 5 will air after the current season concludes. Thankfully, Wikipedia has provided a key that makes sense of this Escher-like maze. The production code # assigned to the new season is 7. The network or television code # is 6. The chronological # of the new episode [Rebirth] is #89. Which when the season finale arrives will give the Hollywood preferred nice round chronological 100th episode.

Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Leela, Hermes, Dr.Zoidberg, Zapp Brannigan, Kif, Amy, and of course Bender will be back for a new season on Comedy Central Thursdays at 10:00pm beginning June 24 2010. Please check your local listings.

[first lines of the episode, Fry comes in with his hair in an afro like in "Hell is Other Robots"]
Fry: Professor, my Fry-fro's all frizzy.
Farnsworth: Okay.
Fry: That's all.

Bender: [casually, while filing his "nails"] Yeah, we're back.
[Everyone else cheers.]

HBO's TrueBlood Season 3 Episode 1 Pack Of Wolves Bad Blood

HBO's TrueBlood Season 3 Episode 1 Pack Of Wolves Bad Blood*

HBO's TrueBlood is back and if episode 1 of it's 3rd season is any indication, fans are in for a very good time. In a recent interview, HBO's True Blood series creator Alan Ball made reference to season 3 having more gore, nudity, sex and vampire politics. Season 3's 1st episode had ALL of that, so it's safe to say that the remainder of season 3 is going to be very satisfying. A shout-out to HBO's publicity and marketing depts. Posters, full page magazine ads, some in 3-D, with witty copy, that if you aren't already a TrueBlood fan, will tease and entice you to become one.

You're looking for heat? OMFG! TrueBlood is supplying it like a house a-fire. 2 words: Skarsgard nude. And when he is clothed, in his adidas gear [remember last season when Eric and Bill went shopping at the mall :D] those track pants hang on sheriff Eric's hips in all the right places in all the right ways. Also the scene when Sam is dreaming about Bill---oh yeah, it's that kind of dream----lawd-a-mercy we are talking steam steam steam. But lest you think there is only masculine eye-candy, there are also lovely ladies who are not shy about shedding clothing. Yes people, we are talking full-frontal. Sorry to say that's only applicable to female characters, but i'm not giving up my hope that the male population of Bon Temps will someday be shown in the same way.

The scripts have heart, drama, and are beyond funny. Vamp Pam---is a hoot and a half. i also like the direction human Hoyt's character is going---boy-to-man and so sweet. i'm not going to specify what's unique about every character; that would take forever. Humans, vampires, shape-shifters and werewolves---yes werewolves, are all stirred into TrueBlood's roux. The original players still deliver the goods and season 3's additional cast are a good fit. Look for a Don Swayze cameo [he'll be in a total of 6 eps] in season 3's episode 1.

TrueBlood = Twilight for grown-folks ;D.

The 3rd season of HBO's TrueBlood airs Sundays at 9:00pm with repeats of the episodes Monday through Saturday. Please check your local listings.

*HBO lists the title of Season 3 episode 1 as Pack Of Wolves, imdb lists the title for the same episode as Bad Blood.

Curb The Discussion Series Premiere Season 1 Episode 1 The Pants Tent And Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 Episode 1 Season Premiere

Curb The Discussion Series Premiere Season 1 Episode 1 The Pants Tent And Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 Episode 1 Season Premiere

HBO has renewed Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm for an 8th season, but that season is not scheduled to air until 2011. If you can't wait that long to get your Enthusiasm fix, good news---the TVGuideNetwork is going to air Curb's previous seasons, beginning with Season 1 Episode 1 The Pants Tent, starting Wednesday June 2 2010 at 10:00pm. But wait, there's more! After each Curb episode airs, there will be a celebrity round-table discussion hosted by Curb's Susie Essman. The panel will debate the ethical dilemmas of Curb's characters. Scheduled celebrity panelists include actress Taraji P. Henson, Mad Men's Jon Hamm, Dr.Drew Pinsky, comedians Jeffrey Ross, DL Hughley, and Patton Oswalt, attorney Gloria Allred, musicians Dave Navarro and Rob Zombie, and clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Stan Katz. And that's only a partial guest panelist list.

While promoting this venture, Larry David joked, that he would be happy to watch the TVGuideNetwork, if indeed such a thing exists. In an irony that i'm sure Mr.David would appreciate, as i was posting this item i was surprised to see that my local cable provider had changed the channel that the TVGuideNetwork had been on, channel 51, to channel 157. The check your local listings caveat that is my signature advisory sign-off seems even more necessary. TVGuideNetwork will air Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes starting with Season 1, beginning Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 10:00pm---And with that i remind, please check your local listings.
