ACURA JOINS AS EXCLUSIVE SPONSOR OF COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE

NEW YORK, NY and CULVER CITY, CA (June 5, 2013) - Acura, one of the world's most technologically advanced luxury automotive brands, has signed on as the sole sponsor of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, the popular award-winning Web series created by and starring Jerry Seinfeld. Acura will sponsor 24 new episodes to be released in 2013 and 2014.

Seinfeld, who previously worked with Acura and starred in the luxury automaker's much-heralded 2012 Super Bowl commercial, will incorporate several unique product integrations, including the much-anticipated, all-new Acura MDX. "We at Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee are so glad a company we already admire has stepped forward to support us," said Jerry Seinfeld. "Not everyone understood what we were doing. But like Moe Green who invented Las Vegas, Acura is a company of vision and guts. We could not be more thrilled to have them as our sponsor. Because of them, we advance!"

Sponsorship of the series was a natural fit for Acura, as the brand is inspired by those who are not afraid to defy convention. "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee achieves just that, boldly breaking away from traditional expectations, and Seinfeld is pushing the standards of entertainment.

While the mediums are different, the end goals are the same - to be inspired by the taste-makers who are propelling the future forward."

"We love Jerry's unconventional, fan-first approach of creating great content and trusting that the right people will find it," said Mike Accavitti, Acura Senior Vice President of Auto Operations. It is totally consistent with Acura's organic approach of putting the customer first and building the vehicle around them." In terms of execution, Acura and Seinfeld are aligned on a unique approach, building content around the consumer - not the other way around. As the only sponsor the upcoming 24 episodes, Acura will integrate short, contextually relevant ads at the beginning and end of each episode.

"Crackle is a big priority at SPE and the studio has had a long, successful relationship with Jerry, so 'Comedians in Cars' is very important to us," said Eric Berger, Executive Vice President of Digital Networks for Sony Pictures Television and General Manager of Crackle. "It's a great fit to have Acura on board and through our exclusive partnership, we will be working closely to engage millions of fans around the fun, simple pleasures of driving."

Sunday 11~10~2013 8PM on NatGeo Channel: Killing Kennedy Based on the Bill O' Reilly Martin Dugard Best Seller

[Press Release via PRNewswire]

Rob Lowe Set To Star As President John F. Kennedy In National Geographic Channel's Upcoming Television Event "Killing Kennedy". Ginnifer Goodwin to Co-Star as Beloved First Lady Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald

Creative Team to Include Director Nelson McCormick and Writer Kelly Masterson

Scott Free to Start Production In June In Richmond, Va., Area; Film to Premiere Globally on National Geographic Channel Later This Year to Mark 50th Anniversary of Assassination

WASHINGTON, May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- National Geographic Channel (@NatGeoChannel) today announced that Emmy-award winning actor Rob Lowe (@RobLowe) has been cast in the iconic role of President John F. Kennedy in the upcoming two-hour original factual drama Killing Kennedy by Scott Free Productions. Ginnifer Goodwin (@ginnygoodwin) will join Lowe in the White House as much-loved first lady and American royalty, Jacqueline Kennedy. Rounding out the dynamic cast is Michelle Trachtenberg (@RealMichelleT) in her first Russian-speaking role as Marina Oswald. Additional casting to be announced.

Based on the best-selling book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, the film chronicles one of the most shocking events in American history, following two men from very different backgrounds on a collision course with fate. Killing Kennedy will premiere on the National Geographic Channel later this year in the United States and globally in 171 countries and 38 languages, timed to the 50th anniversary of the assassination.

"We are thrilled to be working with Rob Lowe, Ginnifer Goodwin and Michelle Trachtenberg, three gifted artists whom have responded to this timely, authentic and entertaining material," said Howard T. Owens, president of the National Geographic Channels. "With Killing Kennedy, timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK, National Geographic Channel continues to bring daring, culturally significant television events to our growing global audience."

This is the National Geographic Channel's second collaboration with Lowe this year. In April, he narrated the network's six-part miniseries The '80s: The Decade That Made Us, which was watched by more than a million people over its three-night run.

National Geographic Channel, Scott Free Productions and Bill O'Reilly are also collaborating for the second time. In February, National Geographic Channel aired the Scott Free production of O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the most-watched program in the channel's history. The three have already announced plans to team for a third time on O'Reilly's next book, Killing Jesus.

Production on Killing Kennedy will begin in June in Richmond, Va., under director Nelson McCormick, who has worked on award-winning television series including "The West Wing," "ER," "Southland," "The Good Wife" and "The Closer." He also directed the critically acclaimed feature films "Prom Night" and "The Stepfather." Celebrated playwright and screenwriter Kelly Masterson has written the teleplay. Executive producing for Scott Free Productions are David Zucker and Mary Lisio. For National Geographic Channels, executive producers are Howard T. Owens, Noel Siegel, Charlie Parsons, Richard E. Wells and Teri Weinberg.

Killing Kennedy begins in 1959, at major turning points for both the future president and his assassin. John F. Kennedy is in Washington, D.C., announcing his presidential candidacy, while Lee Harvey Oswald finds himself in the U.S. embassy in Moscow, renouncing his U.S. citizenship. These two events start both men — one a member of one of the United States' most wealthy and powerful families, the other a disillusioned former Marine and Marxist — on a cataclysmic track that would alter the course of history. Throughout we see their highs and lows, culminating in not one but two shocking deaths that stunned the nation.

Grimm Season 3 Episode 1 "The Ungrateful Dead" Premieres Friday 10~25~2013 on NBC 9PM ET

[NBC/Universal Press Release]

"The Ungrateful Dead" is the first episode of Season 3 of Grimm and the forty-fifth episode overall. It is scheduled to air on October 25, 2013 9PM ET on NBC.

A panicked Juliette, Monroe, and Rosalee enlist Hank’s help in fending off a zombie hoard while trying to figure out what happened to Nick. Knowing the truth, Captain Renard takes measures to help rescue Nick from the clutches of his brother, Eric. Elsewhere, along with the help of the mysterious Stefania, Adalind finds herself facing her most gruesome task yet in her effort to regain her Hexenbiest abilities.

"Grimm" is a drama series inspired by the classic Grimm Brothers’ Fairy Tales. After Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, “Caroline and Jackie”) discovers he’s descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as ‘Grimms,’ he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a Grimm.

Now that Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch, “Parkland”) has learned Nick’s secret, he can bring her into the fold with his partner Hank (Russell Hornsby, “Lincoln Heights”) and his Wesen friends Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell, “My Name is Earl”) and Rosalee (Bree Turner, “The Ugly Truth”). Following the events of season two, Nick will learn his abilities have grown exponentially. Unfortunately, so have the dangers, and he now will need all the help he can get to bring order to Portland’s Wesen community.

In Europe, major events have begun to unfold on behalf of the Royals. Nick’s Captain, Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz, “Pompeii”), has done what he can about his estranged family while working stateside, but may find himself needing to take a long overdue trip across the Atlantic. Also overseas is Adalind (Claire Coffee, “Franklin and Bash”), who continues her quest to regain her Hexenbiest powers by using the biggest bargaining chip she has – her unborn child.

Reggie Lee (“The Dark Knight Rises”) returns as the ever-sarcastic Sgt. Wu. His time spent working with Nick and Hank may finally cause him to change his tone, however, when he sees more than he can handle.

“Grimm” is a Universal Television and Hazy Mills production. The series was created by David Greenwalt & Jim Kouf and Stephen Carpenter. Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner (NBC’s “Sean Saves the World” and “Hot in Cleveland”) and Norberto Barba (”The Bridge”) serve as executive producers along with Greenwalt and Kouf.

Inspired by Melissa de la Cruz’s New York Times best-selling novel, "Witches of East End" centers on the mysterious Beauchamp family: free-spirited artist Joanna (Ormond) and her two grown daughters, wild-child bartender Freya (Dewan Tatum) and shy librarian Ingrid (Boston), both of whom are unaware that they are gifted (and cursed) with a magical birthright. Freya is recently engaged to the man of her dreams, wealthy playboy Dash Gardiner (Winter), but when she finds herself inexplicably drawn to Dash’s troubled, enigmatic brother Killian (DiTomasso), bizarre occurrences begin to manifest in her life.

Meanwhile, Joanna’s long-estranged sister Wendy (Amick) shows up with a warning that could change the Beauchamps’ fate forever, forcing Joanna to reveal to her daughters that they are, indeed, immortal witches who possess great untapped powers. With their idyllic small-town life now turned upside down, and a formidable and ancient enemy intent on ending the Beauchamp family line, will Freya and Ingrid be able to accept their true potential before it is too late?

Produced by Fox 21 ("Homeland," "Sons of Anarchy"), "Witches of East End" is executive produced by Maggie Friedman ("Eastwick"), Jonathan Kaplan ("Without a Trace," "ER"), Erwin Stoff ("The Matrix") and Josh Reims ("Brothers & Sisters"). Kaplan will also serve as the producing director on the series. The pilot was directed by Mark Waters ("Mean Girls") and written by Friedman.
