Seth Meyers Hosts, Billy Crystal to Pay Tribute to Robin Williams, at the 66th Prime Time Emmy Awards Monday 8~25~2014 8PM ET/5PM PT

[Prime Time Emmy Awards Press Release]

Late night talk star Seth Meyers is set to host the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards telecast, live coast-to-coast on NBC on August 25.

Television producer Don Mischer — known for steering such big galas as the Super Bowl halftime shows, Olympic Games openings, the Oscars and more — is set to executive-produce the 66th Primetime Emmys. Producing with Mischer will be Charlie Haykel and Julianne Hare.

"Seth's expertise and ease in front of a live audience during his time at 'SNL,' as well as his comedic brilliance both as a writer and in front of the camera, makes him the perfect choice to host the Emmys," said Paul Telegdy, President, Late Night and Alternative Programming, NBC Entertainment. "Plus, with Don's vast experience at putting these type of big productions together, we'll be in great hands."

"Seth is such a talented performer and writer, and we know he will bring something unique to hosting the Primetime Emmy Awards," said Bruce Rosenblum, Chairman and CEO of the Television Academy. "We are also excited to welcome Don back this year and very much look forward to their collaboration as we celebrate television's biggest night during one of the most transformative years in Television Academy history."

Primetime Emmy winner Meyers took over hosting duties on NBC’s Late Night in February following Jimmy Fallon’s jump to the Tonight Show. He also voices the character Prock on Hulu animated original The Awesomes, the superhero series he executive produces and co-created with Mike Shoemaker.

Widely recognized as the longest serving anchor on iconic Saturday Night Live segment “Weekend Update," the Northwestern University alum also served as head writer for SNL for 9 of his 13 seasons with the series.

Meyers won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for SNL host Justin Timberlake’s musical monologue in 2011 and has 10 additional Emmy nominations for television writing to his credit. Earlier today, Meyers was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2014.

Critics forecasting what a Meyers-helmed Emmys show might be like may look to his turns hosting the 2010 and 2011 ESPY Awards on ESPN — and perhaps his appearance at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner — all of which garnered solid reviews.

Acclaimed television and live events producer Don Mischer returns for his twelfth Primetime Emmys run and his eighth time as executive producer.

He has been honored with 14 Emmy Awards, a record 10 Directors Guild of America Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, 2 NAACP Image Awards and a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Mischer is also the recipient of Europe's prestigious Golden Rose of Montreux and the 2012 Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television from the Producers Guild of America.

Among some of his producer and director credits are several Super Bowl Halftime shows (Prince, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen), the Democratic National Convention, the Academy Awards, the Kennedy Center Honors, opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games and more.

Mischer has also produced specials with Beyoncé, Bono, Jennifer Hudson, Rihanna, Britney Spears, James Taylor, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Garth Brooks, Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Barbra Streisand, the Black Eyed Peas and Carrie Underwood, among others.

Billy Crystal to Pay Tribute to Robin Williams at the 66th Emmy Awards

TNT'S DALLAS PREPARES FOR STEAMY RETURN IN AUGUST Season Three of Hit Drama Continues with "Denial, Anger, Acceptance" Summer Premiere Monday, Aug. 18, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

[TNT Press Release]

TNT'S DALLAS PREPARES FOR STEAMY RETURN IN AUGUST Season Three of Hit Drama Continues with Summer Premiere Monday, Aug. 18, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

Things are about to get real steamy for the Ewing family when TNT's Dallas returns with a whole new crop of back-stabbing, double-crossing fun. The hit drama stars Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Mitch Pileggi and Emma Bell, with Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.

This season has also seen the addition of Juan Pablo Di Pace as a regular cast member and the return of guest stars AnnaLynne McCord, Ken Kercheval, Judith Light, Kuno Becker and Marlene Forte. Produced for TNT by Warner Horizon Television, Dallas will be back to kick off the second half of its third season on Monday, Aug. 18, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).

Dallas centers on the Ewing family, which has made a fortune in cattle ranching and oil. Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) is now the family patriarch following the death of his older brother, J.R. Ewing.

The complicated and often bitter relationship between the two brothers can be seen reflected in the relationship between Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), Bobby's adopted son, and John Ross III (Josh Henderson), the son of J.R. and former wife Sue Ellen Ewing (Linda Gray).

The summer run of TNT's Dallas opens in the aftermath of a devastating fire at Southfork Ranch and the unexpected overdose of John Ross' wife, Pamela Barnes Ewing (Julie Gonzalo). Each member of the family struggles to understand what's happened, including John Ross, whose two-timing behavior may have finally caught up with him after Pamela discovered him with another woman. To make matters worse, that other woman is Emma Ryland (Emma Bell), the daughter of Bobby's wife, Ann (Brenda Strong).

Christopher continues to reel after his engagement to Elena Ramos (Jordana Brewster) fell through, and the search for his mother ended with news that she died in 1989. He has found some comfort in a new relationship with Heather (AnnaLynne McCord), a 20-something ranch hand and single mother. But Heather's ex-husband has just returned, bringing turmoil back into her life and the life of her 5-year-old son.

Elena, who grew up at Southfork as the daughter of the Ewings' cook, Carmen Ramos (Marlene Forte), recently learned that the Ewings may have cheated her father out of valuable land by altering the original deed. Consumed with thoughts of justice for previous wrongs against her family, Elena has turned to an old childhood friend, Nicolas Treviño (Juan Pablo Di Pace).

The Ewings' chief nemesis, Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval), has done everything he can to bring the Ewing family down, including getting his daughter, Pamela, to infiltrate the family by marrying Christopher. But after an attempt to sabotage an oilrig resulted in injuring Pamela and killing her and Christopher's unborn twins, Cliff suddenly found his daughter turning against him. Pamela helped the Ewings gain a controlling interest in Barnes Global, then settled in for what she hoped would be a happy life with her new husband, John Ross.

Bobby’s wife, Ann, continues to battle with Harris Ryland (Mitch Pileggi), her scheming ex-husband who claims to be a government informant helping to shut down a drug smuggling operation. Ann also continues to build a relationship with her daughter, Emma, a sheltered beauty who has jumped in bed with John Ross – both literally and figuratively – in a bid to stir up trouble for her father, Harris. Things become even more difficult for everyone with the return of Harris' controlling mother, Judith (Judith Light), who not only owns a controlling interest in her son's transportation business but also runs a high-price prostitution ring.

Dallas premiered in 2012 and finished the year as one of basic cable's Top 10 new dramas. In its third season, Dallas is averaging 3.1 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery, with 1.4 million adults 25-54 and 1.1 million adults 18-49. Shot on location in the title city, Dallas was developed by executive producer Cynthia Cidre from the series created by David Jacobs. Serving as executive producers with Cidre are Michael M. Robin, Robert Rovner and Bruce Rasmussen.

Partners, Starring Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer Debuts on FX Monday 8~4~2014 9PM

[FX Press Release]

Partners is a half-hour, multi-camera comedy centered on the newly established partnership of high-end elitist lawyer Allen Braddock (Kelsey Grammer) and for-the-people, ethics driven lawyer Marcus Jackson (Martin Lawrence).

After his father fires him from the family law firm, Allen Braddock seeks to get back in the lawyering game on his own terms - making big bucks on high profile cases via legal loopholes and skirting ethics. Recently divorced, nice-guy Marcus tries to balance family and operating his law office out of his home, doing cases for neighbors and friends pro-bono, or for baked goods.

When a court ordered sanction teams Allen Braddock with Marcus Jackson in hopes that some of Marcus' conscience will rub off, the two find themselves in a partnership nature never intended.

Marcus struggles to be a good father to his sweet, albeit naive and idealistic daughter, "Laura”, a good son to his opinionated, old-school mom, "Ruth", and even tries to get a little bit of work out of his ambivalent assistant, "Michael."

Meanwhile, Allen juggles a step daughter, "Lizzy”, who came with his brand new shiny young trophy wife. He has absolutely zero idea how to interact with her, but a few bucks is usually a good start.

Together, the once-elite Braddock and "mom-and-pop" Jackson struggle to learn from each other to keep the new law firm profitable AND ethical - something neither of them has ever had.

Partners is a smart, edgy legal comedy highlighting the cultural contrast between the haves, the have-nots, and the "Aww, Hell-No's."

LOS ANGELES, May 22, 2014 - The series premiere of FX's newest 10/90 comedy, Partners starring Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer has been set for Monday, August 4. Marcus Jackson (Lawrence) is a kind-hearted community activist going through a heartbreaking divorce when he meets Allen Braddock (Grammer), an elitist lawyer who has just been fired from his father's firm.

Brought together by fate and desperation, they develop a partnership and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives. Other series regulars include Telma Hopkins, Rory O'Malley, McKaley Miller, Edi Patterson and Danièle Watts.

Bob Boyett and Robert Horn serve as Executive Producers and Showrunners. Executive Producers also include Martin Lawrence, Kelsey Grammer, Brian Sher, Stella Bulochnikov, Michael Green and Sam Maydew. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television in association with Grammnet NH Productions and You Go Boy Productions. It is distributed by Debmar-Mercury.

AMC's Hell On Wheels Returns Saturday August 2, 2014 9PM ET Season 4 Episode 1 "The Elusive Eden"

[AMC Press Release]

AMC’s original Western drama Hell on Wheels, will return for an expanded fourth season of 13 episodes on Saturday, August 2 at 9pm ET/PT. The new season of the series, which stars Anson Mount, Colm Meaney and Common, will air in two parts with the first 10 episodes running consecutively through Saturday, October 4, before taking a hiatus during the network’s annual FearFest programming and returning for the final three episodes beginning on Saturday, November 8.

Hell on Wheels shifted to the Saturday night slot last year to partner with the network’s already successful Western programming on Saturdays, and delivered an average audience of 3.3 million viewers, live plus 3. Additionally, the series nearly doubled (+97%) the network’s Saturday prime average and was +152% higher than the total day average. For season four, the network will once again package the series with favorite Western titles, including the films The Horse Whisperer, Tombstone, and Jeremiah Johnson, and the network premiere of the mini-series Comanche Moon.

“We’re thrilled to bring Hell on Wheels back for another season. Its success on Saturday night reflects the strength and broad appeal of the show, and we’re incredibly excited to share the continuation of this story with the millions of loyal Hell on Wheels fans,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s executive vice president of original programming, production and digital.

Season 3 of Hell On Wheels ended with Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) married to a pregnant Naomi and living in the Mormon fort where The Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) was impersonating church leader Bishop Dutson; Thomas “Doc” Durant (Colm Meaney) back in control of the Union Pacific Railroad which had successfully expanded westward to Cheyenne; and Elam (Common), gravely injured by a bear while searching for the missing Cullen.

As Season 4 unfolds, civilization makes its way west with the railroad, bringing with it men who attempt to do with their pens what rougher men did in seasons past with their guns. Conflict between government and big business, ranchers, homesteaders and the railroad will continue to define the drama as all of those interests compete with one another for control of Cheyenne, Wyoming, the “Magic City of the Plains” and the most important railroad hub in the country. The season will also introduce several new characters including John Campbell (Jake Weber, Medium, The Following).

“We’re excited about the stories we’re telling in season four,” said series executive producer and showrunner, John Wirth. “The consequences of the stories we told last year will continue to reverberate throughout the season, and fans can expect to see some shocking events that will not only change the lives of our characters, but the landscape of the series as the railroad continues its relentless march westward.”

Hell on Wheels is executive produced by showrunner John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Falling Skies, The Cape), Mark Richard and Jeremy Gold, executive vice-president, Creative Affairs, Endemol Studios, who developed the series at Endemol USA. Paul Kurta serves as co-executive producer.

The series is produced by leading independent studio, Entertainment One Television (eOne) and Nomadic Pictures. Entertainment One Television’s CEO John Morayniss and EVP U.S. Scripted Television Michael Rosenberg oversee production in partnership with producers Mike Frislev and Chad Oakes from Nomadic Pictures. Hell on Wheels also stars Jennifer Ferrin as Louise Ellison, Robin McLeavy as Eva, Phil Burke as Mickey McGinnes, Kasha Kropinski as Ruth and Dohn Norwood as Psalms.
