Here's my problem with two of the shows FOX has signed for the 2012-2013 pilot season. They are so similar in their basic premises some viewers may be confused and/or have conflict as to which show they should pledge their viewing time.
The Asset stars Ali Larter as a CIA agent. Rogue stars Angela Bassett as a CIA director. Anyone who knows me knows i am a hard core loyal fan of Julian McMahon who also stars in Rogue. So for me the choice between the two shows is easy. i also like co-star Greg Ellis whom Nip/Tuck fans will recall guest starred as the auto-erotic asphyxiation patient who needed surgery to repair the puncture wounds on his neck made by his belt. Mr.Ellis has also appeared on 24 and Dexter. Rick Schroder also co-stars in Rogue. Another reason for me to check the yes mark for Rogue.
But my fear is that in terms of ratings numbers the two spy pilots will cancel each other out and neither will get picked up for a regular season. Fingers crossed my fears will not be actualized.
