Columbia Pictures' Annie Movie Re-boot Now Filming in NYC: Starring Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhané Wallis, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannavale

Filming began this month on location in New York for the movie Annie, starring Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhané Wallis, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, and Cameron Diaz. The film is scheduled to be released by Columbia Pictures on December 19, 2014. It is set in the present day and will incorporate real New York locations.

The Broadway classic that has delighted audiences for generations comes to the big screen with a new, contemporary vision in Columbia Pictures’ musical comedy, Annie. Cannavale will play the role of Guy, a bulldog political advisor to Foxx's character as he runs for mayor of New York. Annie is slated for release on Christmas Day, 2014. Gluck is currently revising the film's screenplay, which was written by Emma Thompson and rewritten by Aline Brosh McKenna based on the musical stage play "Annie," book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and on "Little Orphan Annie," © and ® Tribune Media Services, Inc. The film is being overseen at the studio by Andrea Giannetti and Devon Franklin.

Bobby Cannavale currently can be seen in Woody Allen's critically acclaimed film Blue Jasmine with Cate Blanchett and Sally Hawkins. Upcoming films for the actor include the Jon Favreau-directed Chef, in which he stars alongside Favreau and Scarlett Johansson, and Imagine, with Al Pacino, Jennifer Garner and Annette Bening , directed by Dan Fogelman. Cannavale, already an Emmy Award winner, has been nominated for two Emmys this year – in the comedy category for "Nurse Jackie" and in drama for "Boardwalk Empire." He was nominated for his second Tony Award for his performance alongside Chris Rock in "The Motherf**ker with the Hat."

Grimm Season 3 Episode 1 "The Ungrateful Dead" Premieres Friday 10~25~2013 on NBC 9PM ET

"The Ungrateful Dead" is the first episode of Season 3 of Grimm and the forty-fifth episode overall. It is scheduled to air on October 25, 2013 9PM ET on NBC.

A panicked Juliette, Monroe, and Rosalee enlist Hank’s help in fending off a zombie hoard while trying to figure out what happened to Nick. Knowing the truth, Captain Renard takes measures to help rescue Nick from the clutches of his brother, Eric. Elsewhere, along with the help of the mysterious Stefania, Adalind finds herself facing her most gruesome task yet in her effort to regain her Hexenbiest abilities.

"Grimm" is a drama series inspired by the classic Grimm Brothers’ Fairy Tales. After Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, “Caroline and Jackie”) discovers he’s descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as ‘Grimms,’ he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a Grimm.

Now that Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch, “Parkland”) has learned Nick’s secret, he can bring her into the fold with his partner Hank (Russell Hornsby, “Lincoln Heights”) and his Wesen friends Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell, “My Name is Earl”) and Rosalee (Bree Turner, “The Ugly Truth”). Following the events of season two, Nick will learn his abilities have grown exponentially. Unfortunately, so have the dangers, and he now will need all the help he can get to bring order to Portland’s Wesen community.

In Europe, major events have begun to unfold on behalf of the Royals. Nick’s Captain, Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz, “Pompeii”), has done what he can about his estranged family while working stateside, but may find himself needing to take a long overdue trip across the Atlantic. Also overseas is Adalind (Claire Coffee, “Franklin and Bash”), who continues her quest to regain her Hexenbiest powers by using the biggest bargaining chip she has – her unborn child.

Reggie Lee (“The Dark Knight Rises”) returns as the ever-sarcastic Sgt. Wu. His time spent working with Nick and Hank may finally cause him to change his tone, however, when he sees more than he can handle.

“Grimm” is a Universal Television and Hazy Mills production. The series was created by David Greenwalt & Jim Kouf and Stephen Carpenter.
